Something very exciting is going on in Mobile and there will be an announcement on Monday, July 17th, 6:00 - 7:30 PM at the Hank Aaron Stadium Park. The Mobile sports commission is proposing an huge sports complex in Mobile that would include an indoor track and multi use facility, 10 lighted field for Soccer, Rugby and Football with one being a stadium seating for 25,000 seating, an olympic 50 meter pool with diving well and separate aerobics pool, and an 5,000 meter cross country course. The facility would include amenities like a workout room for fitness and bodybuilding. Also, it would be used for volleyball, wrestling, fencing, overflow for indoor tennis. There will be other disciplines available at the facility too. The facility will be available for local use as well as hosting all levels of competition (city, state, regional and national). Please join us for a preview of the project on Monday, July 17th! You can buy a ticket at McCoy's Outdoor Company on Springhill Avenue. The are $5.00 per person and a BBQ dinner will be served.
