the conditions were not great for reaching preconceived goals. Maybe you are expecting too much out of yourself too fast. Running is a personal sport and you can coach yourself pretty well if you are patient. Since that was your first half, you set your PR (personal record) now you just try to keep bettering it. If you set your expectations too high you can get discouraged. The best thing that you can do is to enjoy your running and not make it a chore. Most runners use running to relieve stress, if you cause yourself more stress that defeats the purpose.
