The 31st Annual Azalea Trail Run will be Saturday, March 29, 7:50 Wheelchair start, 8:00 10K start, 9:45 2K Fun Run start.

Sylvia Rogers will be the guest for this show. Sylvia is the editor of the Pacer Newsletter and very involved with the Race Walking aspect of the running & racing program in Mobile. She would like to focus on:

- Chip Timing -- Chip timing will be used for the first time ever in the ATR.
- Bibs worn in the 10K will still have pull-tags, but will not be collected at the finish line.
- However, Fun Run bib pull-tags will be collected at the finish line for School Program verification.
- All 10K participants who pass through both the start and finish chutes will receive both Official (gun) and Net (chip) times. All awards will be based on Official times. (There is a difference in official/gun time and net time)
- Chips need to be verified at the Expo; shoes do not have to be brought to the Expo but the chip must be placed on the shoe for race day.
- Those owning a personal chip must get them recorded at the Expo.
- Chips not owned must be turned in at the finish line area or runner will have to pay for the chip.

- Team Entries -- there is a team competition in the categories of open, corporate, church, school, and military. The five fastest runners on each team are scored and winning teams will receive commemorative plaques. These team entries are different from the Corporate Cup team competition that will take place also. Team rosters should have already been submitted.

People can still register at the Expo which will be open on March 28 from noon until 9:00 PM. There is no race day registration for the 10K.
