Andra has a full plate as far as athletic events go so she is not going back but we do have a team going. We will miss her determination and Bob her husband who is an excellent navigator for that area. There are not a lot of short cuts up there. It takes 10 miles of driving to go 5 miles as the crow flies.

I would not want to run with less than 12 people. As Andra said it is an around the clock race. The fewer the people the less the rest between legs and the more miles too. Most teams use 2 vans to carry the runners, legs 1-6 in one van and 7-12 in the other van.

Last year we got a hotel room to rest after each van had completed 1 set of their legs. That was a mistake. This year we are simply taking tents and sleeping bags for our down time. As far as eating is concerned a lot of peanut butter, fruit, nutrition bars, gels, sports drinks and those sorts of things were consumed.

It is a blast we hope that you can get a team together. E-mail if you have any other questions.

Victor
