In this situation, I think running it was OK. If it had been a longer race, on rough terrain or on city streets I think that it should have been called. I would not like trying to predict the weather either.
Speaking of that, where was the weather man (Gary Beeler)? Maybe we should use him like a canary in a coalmine. If he's not there five minutes before the race in inclement weather, we call it. (I'm always thinkin)
