That brings me to another thought I had about bad weather and races. Taking last night's race for example, the weather was not fit for anyone to be out in it but we must also think of not only the runners sake but the volunteers who are STANDING out in it, too, when making a decision as to race or not. I'm no scientist but I would think a moving object (runners) have a better chance of NOT being struck by lightning than a immovable object (volunteers). As I said in the other post, nothing is worth putting someone's life in jeopardy.
