MO I have a co worker who has lived in numerous cities, and
prefers to commute by cycling. He doesn't race or ride with
groups. When the price of gas when up, he said he was going to
ride to work. He lives near Univ & Cottage Hill area. We work
at the old Providence, USA Sprinhill Campus (SHAC). I told him
that this was not a bike friendly town, and you are riding
at your own risk.

He told me that Mobile is no different then many other cities
that he has lived in, and they said the same thing. I cannot state
that Mobile is anymore dangerous, but from my own experiences I
would rather ride in a group, and if I had choice riding to work
it would be off road.

Fortunately this was an accident that had only minor injuries.
