Not that Tim would want me spreading this around, modest as he is, but in my ten years of coaching and co-coaching local marathoners for a natl charity, Mr. Yahr (an educator and XC coach for....Fairhope High) was THE fastest finisher ever. I'm sorry to say I don't recall his exact time, but I DO know it was sub-3:00, and in a smallish race, making it even more impressive in my opinion. The man is built physically like a greyhound and mentally like a long-distance greyhound!
And I bet you he'd never tell you of that success in a million years..... but I WILL!

And you were quite busy trying to get to the start of the boy's open division XC race at Municipal Park last weekend, but that was me tangled up in two leashed dogs, hollering at ya.....
