Congrats to all the fast-timers at the Bay Fest 5K. As I headed out of town, I took note of the lovely early a.m. temps and pined and possibly even whimpered aloud for the chance to try my feet at the cooler race....
(How'm I doing so far at sounding pitiful? I really need that for the set up here....)
I do not know what the race awards might have been this year, BUT, should anyone have won any Bay Fest passes, just one of which they cannot, shall not or otherwise will not be putting to good use, I propose this: Why not consider a new-to-the-scene-"charity"? You know the one I'm thinking of, The Poor, Broken Down, Day In & Day Out Dog-Walking Spinsterhood Society, of which there is locally only one member of which I personally know.
While not technically considered tax-deductible, contributions (limited to one pass) guarantees the donator a friend for....at least a whole weekend!
