Don't know if I forgot anyone else if I did Im really sorry and feel free to add your names... for a first time marathoner the luxury of running such a flat course was countered by the heat, humidity, wind, and finally rainstorm
Wife and I had a laugh at everyone limping to get their awards including myself... there were alot of cramped legs out there. I was fine for about 15 miles, then when taking off after walking through a water station my right knee started popping... Had to alternate running and walking on it until it passed around mile 18-19... then the leg cramps, but as bad as I had it, I still passed a few runners over the last 6 miles or so... never cramped during any of my long training runs, but today was hell
Had hoped for 3:30 and was well within pace of that half way, but 26.2 is so long and you never know when a problem will strike. Having arthritis doesnt help either. Anyway, congrats to all finishers today, Leonard mentioned 30 states represented and Canada too.
