Thanks y'all! It was very cold and windy and the course was tougher than what I expected(lots of rolling hills). I went out a little bit faster than what I had planned but I didn't panic and settled in to a pace that felt comfortable. I wanted to run the second half faster than the first and I ended up doing it just barely after hammering the final 10K. My first half was 1:27:35 and the second half was 1:27:11 for a total time of 2:54:46. It was a fun race and now I am glad to have a little downtime to recover. It is time to recharge, then on to the next goal of sub 2:50.
