The Port City Pacers are hosting The Azalea Trail Run, one of the premier 10k road races in the United States on Saturday March 28, 2009 in downtown & midtown Mobile, Alabama. This is one of the most recognizable annual events in Mobile. The event includes a 10k road race, 2k Fun Run, and Health and Fitness Expo. Proceeds from the event benefit local charities. All scheduled volunteers will receive an event T-Shirt and a pass to the Health and Fitness Expo and post race party.

We need your help in March!

The Port City Pacers need volunteers in the following categories:

1. Volunteers are needed during March to assist with various event preparation activities including packet preparations, verification, and delivery of school programs packets. This requires no heavy lifting and the ability to pay careful attention to detail.

2. Volunteers willing to work a minimum of two hours are needed on Friday, March 27th between noon-8pm at the Mobile Civic Center to assist with the Health and Fitness Expo, packet pickup, and registration.

3. Volunteers are needed on Saturday March 28 to assist with registration, course setup, course assistance, water stops, finish line, and post race festivities. Volunteers can spend two to five hours, depending on position and desired work time.

Please contact Maureen Van Devender msv@johnstoneadams.com 251-377-3091 for more information and to schedule. Thank you for your consideration of volunteering with the Port City Pacers.
