It is clear that McGuire's brings out a different group of runners. I was curious about the race when someone told Jimmy Matthews that it had 9000 runners. By my count on active.com there were 5434 runners. What surprised me was that only about a third were masters runners, whereas probably 60 percent or more of ATR runners are masters. Possibly the fact that every age group from 20-24 to 35-39 had a lot more female runners than male runners is significant, just loking at the numbers I would guess that 60 percent or more were female but I was too lazy to run the numbers. Only the age groups older than 55-59 and 10-14 had more males.
