The town of Fulton Alabama will be hosting the "Voice for the Animals" 5K on Saturday April 4th. This is the same date as the Old Mobile 8K, but consider this; How many times have you run that course?...Do you have kids?...They will LOVE the race in Fulton! If your child is an animal...even better! They can participate with you in the 1 mile Pet Trot following the 5K!!
My friend and running partner Lee Morris is from Fulton, so naturally Melanie Moore and I will be running this race....GREAT COMPETITION for female Grand Masters!!
The people of Fulton are the Salt of The Earth type and they are now experiencing hard times as the local Saw Mill where many of them are employed will be closing soon. It would brighten their day to have a good turn out.
I ran this race last year and these people went all out. There was a balloon arch over the starting line, good food and door prizes!
