Unofficially, rain itself won't postpone the race, heavy rain or lightning may delay the start.
I look for the day to be a lot like last year's Old Mobile 8K. It started to rain right after the start and stopped about 30 minutes later, the runners didn't seem to mind but all the volunteers got soaked.
