I did not realize it had been 30 years.....although I do remember when Fredrick hit...very well! Telling my age!
I am the Race Director for this years Hurricane Run. The Hurricane Run was begun after Frederick hit..as I recall the year after...kind of a "We will survive" gesture as I remember it.
Don't believe we can change the course at this point, but we do have something new planned.....The Kids Run, it will be approx 1/2 mile and we will have Awards for the kids...Overall and in 5 age groups.
I am working on getting sponsorships and some good Door Prizes, have had good responses so far.
We will have "unique" awards for the 5K event.
If you think of anything that we might try....or if you have "people" that would donate prizes or money to the cause that can only make the event better!!!
