The Heart of Champions 5K & the last mile of the HOC Kid's Marathon Program will be held on Oct. 3, 2009 @ the Bay Minette Community Kid's Park. The 5K will begin @ 8:00 A.M. & the last mile of the Kid's Marathon Program will begin @ 9:00 A.M. The events will benefit the P.E. Departments of Stapleton Elementary, Delta Elementary, Perdido School, & the cross-country team from Bay Minette Middle School.
The awards & door prizes are plentiful (ex. a Garmin 205 GPS Watch, HOC dry caps, custom marathon medals for (kids) completing the Kid's Marathon Program, & other great prizes). Participates will be treated to HOT Domino's Pizza, Subway Sandwiches, fruit, snacks & beverages.
Registration will take place @ the Kid's Park off McMillan Ave. the morning of the race. You can register on active.com or pick up entry forms @ McCoy's in Mobile & Thomas Hospital Wellness Center. You can pre-register in person up until the 2nd of October @ the North Baldwin Infirmary Wellness Center in Bay Minette.
The course is totally flat & USATF certified AL05034JD.
