The race is still scheduled for an 08:30 start this Saturday. The half marathon and 8K will start at the same time.
The course:
I marked the course yesterday and everything looks good. There was a little standing water right before the first turn-around after mile 5. Runners might have to make a few second detour to avoid the water.
Restrooms and water:
There are facilities at the start/ finish, CR1 and CR 27 intersection, and at the turn around at Pelican Point. Please use these facilities. There was an issue with this last year on the course. Water will be available at least five times on the course and at the start/finish area.
Travel to the race site:
There was some construction just north of CR 1 on Scenic 98. I recommend taking US Highway 98 all the way to the end and then turn right to Scenic 98 at the "T". The start area also gets very congested so plan some extra time for this.
