GPS/heartrate advice, and marathon update

I am interested in getting a GPS Heartrate monitor and would appreciate advice from anyone out there as to what is a good one.

Also, I just heard the sign up numbers for the marathon and we are about 25% up over last years registration. The next deadline is December 31 so get your relays and act together!
