The Carpe Diem Running Club is most pleased to announce the 8th Annual Santa Fun Run in memory of Charlie Spencer to benefit The American Heart Association, Thursday, December 24th at Carpe Diem Coffee & Tea Company, 4072 Old Shell Road, Mobile.
The run begins at 10 a.m. and will cover approximately exactly precisely about two miles. Participants may pick up registration forms at McCoy Outdoors on Springhill Avenue or at Carpe Diem or by emailing me (chris@homeclaimservices.com). Register by mail with postmarks by December 19th, in person at McCoy Outdoors until noon on December 23rd or race day at Carpe Diem beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Entry fees are $15.00 for adults, $10.00 for students or $50.00 per family. Registration fees do NOT include a t-shirt, but a special Christmas design limited edition long sleeved cotton T will be available for purchase at the event.
While this is a fun run, there will be a clock running this year and the overall winner will be recognized. There will also be awards for best costumes for both individuals and groups as well as myriad door prizes. Music will be provided by Doctor Feelgood with coffee, cookies and hot chocolate provided after the run. Parking is available at St. John's Episcopal Church or the Springhill Shopping Center.
