This scenic and very flat 5K certified course (AL05040JD) winds through Dauphin island neighborhoods. The event starts and finishes at Fort Gaines where an historic cannon will serve as the starting gun. The post race festivities will take place in the fort and will include authentic blacksmith demonstrations. Food and drink will be provided by the club including hot dogs cooked on open fire. Proceeds benefit Historic Fort Gaines.
