Not to be confused with President Obama's Race to the Top education program, the Battle House Race to the Top will allow individuals to run or walk up 34 flights of stairs in the RSA Tower. Each participant will be assigned an ascent time - 30 second intervals between climbers. A fit person can casually walk the 34 flights in less than 15 minutes - you can stop and rest as necessary. Everyone will ride the elevators down the Tower.
The view from the 34th floor is spectacular - you really can see for miles and miles. If you don't want to climb, a $5 donation to Little Sisters of the Poor will get you an elevator ride to the 34th floor. The Battle House will be selling food and beverages including Mimosas and Blood Marys on the observation floor.
