Yep, 50.4 miles, 10 hours and change later. It was by far the most difficult and technical trail run I have ever done. I was face first (Pete Rose style) on the rocks 5 times in the first 5 miles. It started at 4am our time so needless to say it was extremely dark and my headlamp was not sufficient (or it might have been my lack of trail running experience). However, I plowed on along and ended up passing 6 people in the last 8 miles to finsh 14th out of 200 overall and 6th out of 44 in my age group. My next challenge is The Mountain Mist 50K in January.
