Hey, let me do some venting here. The PCP's which I have been a member of for some time have the hardest time recruiting volunteers. What gives, there are over 500 members of this fine organization and at each race we have usually the same 20 to 30 members supporting YOU, the runners. These volunteers are ALL members of the PCP and yes they run, and I am sure they would like to participate in a race or two in a capacity such as RUNNING a race. How can we get more of you members to sign up as a volunteer? I know the current volunteer director and the past several before Joy, they have a hard job, the race director has a hard job, something has to be done.
I wonder, if the board could set a policy that allows a member who volunteers at let say 5 races, to receive a coupon for one free race in the future. I am open for suggestions, or gripes, just trying to get more people on the street.
