I did the first leg of the relay and drove to the Starbucks on Springhill to watch the race. I pulled in at 9:27, just as Jon Brigham was passing by. I put my chair in the grassy area out front, so I had an excellent view of the runners. I was watching for familiar faces, also was careful to note the relay runners with the green bibs pinned on front and back. I guess that is around mile 21, and I know that Jon Bowie was the 5th male marathoner to pass by. I saw Amy Huff come by as the first female, Larry Wayne was running with her, and Elinor Carter was 3rd. I was paying attention!
