The Port City Pacers roll out the Do It in the Bush 5K on Saturday at Medal of Honor Park.

The annual event, which benefits the Port City Pacers Scholarship Fund, starts at 7:30 a.m.

Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at Medal of Honor Park.

The Port City Pacers will have an end-of-the-season party after the race, with food and beverages provided. The PCP also will elect their 2013-14 board members.

The inaugural 5K Beer Run will be held at noon Saturday at Southern Napa in Daphne.

The race benefits the Baldwin County Humane Society.

The 5K Beer Run is being held in conjunction with the 99 Bottles of Beer on the Lawn Beer Festival in Daphne.

Runners can register at Southern Napa, McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Thursday. Early packet pickup and late registration will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Southern Napa. Race-day registration will be held from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. at Southern Napa.

Food and beverages, including beer, of course, will be provided after the race.

For those who want to cool off after their run, there's the Dash and Splash Duathlon, which features a 5K race with a 50-yard swim at the Springhill Swim Club.

The event starts at 4 p.m. Saturday and benefits programs of the City of Mobile Swim Association.

Competitors can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Springhill Swim Club.

The postrace party will feature Super Funk Fantasy playing from 7 to 10 p.m. Non-competitors can join the fun for $25. To purchase a button, email mattandcammie@att.net. Smokin' Gringos will be there for food purchases.

The North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce starts its Chamber Chase 10K Series at Rex Park in Bay Minette at 8 a.m. Saturday. Other Chamber Chase events are scheduled for June 8 and July 13.

There will be a race clock, but there won't be any results. This is a fitness and fun event. Door prizes will be given out after the 10K.

Participants can register online and on race day starting at 7 a.m. at Rex Park.

The Great Amazing Race returns to the area with its 1-mile adventure run for two at 3 p.m. Sunday at Langan Municipal Park in Mobile. The 1-mile course will include up to eight challenges for the two-person team to complete.
