The Kickoff Run for Sight 5K will be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at the intramural fields on the University of South Alabama campus.
The event also includes a three-quarter-mile fun run.
The race is sponsored by the USA Lions Club. Proceeds from the race benefit the sight programs of the club.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 6 to 7:15 a.m. at the SGA Pavilion.
Food, beverages, awards and music will be part of the postrace party.
