This Saturday, November 23rd@ 8:30, the Port City Pacers will be hosting the annual Turkey 10miler/5k. This year's race will have tech shirts for race participants and 20 oz. drink glasses for awards. DJ Phillip Spencer will be providing the music and Run-n-Tri has donated 2, $25.00 gift certificates for the top male and female finishers in the 10 miler. After the race we will have the Pacers Holiday Party. Hot dogs, chips and baked goods will be served. Everyone please bring some food to share and let's make this a holiday party to remember!
There will also be boxes available to collect food for the Bay Area Food Bank. The food bank's most needed list includes: canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats, cereal, pasta, rice, fruit juice, dried beans, peanut butter, boxed meals and soup. Look in your cabinets and let's see if we can top the 780 pounds of food we collected last year.
