The Battle of Mobile Bay 5K will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island.
Organized by the Port City Pacers, the event benefits the running club and Historic Fort Gaines.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online with eventbrite.com through midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Fort Gaines.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race.
The 13th annual Sweetheart Run and Sea Turtle Half Marathon will be held Saturday at the Hangout in Gulf Shores. The half marathon will start at 7:30 a.m., the 1-mile fun run will start at 8 and the 5K will start at 9.
Organized by LA Fleet Feet Running Club, the event benefits the Gulf Coast Arts Council, Foley High School Junior ROTC and Share the Beach Sea Turtle Program.
Runners can register online through Friday and at the Hangout from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, when an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner special will be available.
A postrace party will be held at the Hangout.
The 24th annual Run for the World 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church.
The event benefits the church's missions.
Runners can register online through 11 p.m. Wednesday.
A pancake breakfast will be served after the race.
The 5K Pick Up and Run/Walk for Missions will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, 16th, at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church in Mobile.
Organized by church members, the event will benefit local and global missions, particularly in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.
Runners can register at Dauphin Way United Methodist Church at 1507 Dauphin St. in Mobile oronline through midnight Wednesday.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race in McGowin Hall, where there'll also be music and a silent auction.
