The Peace at Bellingrath 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 24, at Bellingrath Gardens in Theodore.

Organized by Ray Weinshenker, The Man About Town, the event benefits the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday or online until midnight Friday. Race-day registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 a.m. at Bellingrath Gardens.

Food and beverages will be provided after the race.

The Miles for Medicine 5K will be held at 7 a.m. May 31 on the intramural fields at the University of South Alabama. The event also will include a 1-mile fun run.

Sponsored by the USA physician assistant students, the event benefits children's cancer research and treatment at Nemours Children's Health System.

Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon May 29 oronline until midnight May 29. Race-day registration will be held from 6:15 to 6:45 a.m. at SGA Pavilion.

Food and beverages will be provided and family activities will be available after the race.

The Bryant High Hurricane 5K Run will be held at 7:30 a.m. May 31 at Alma Bryant High School in Irvington. The event also has a 1-mile fun run.

The event benefits the Alma Bryant High School cheerleading squad.

Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon May 30 or online until midnight May 29. Race-day registration will be held from 6 to 6:45 a.m. at the Alma Bryant High School fieldhouse.

Snacks and beverages will be provided after the race.

The Color Dash will be held at 9 a.m. May 31 at the Hearin-Chandler Family YMCA. The Color Dash, billed as "the World's Brightest 5K," is an untimed event during which the participants are coated with colored dust by Dasher-Splasher volunteers as they traverse the course.

Proceeds from the Color Dash go to the Hearin-Chandler Family YMCA's Campaign for Youth and Families, which funds the YMCA's scholarship program.
