The Walk For Wishes 5K will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, June 21, at Battleship Park on the Causeway. The event also will include a 1-mile Walk. The 5K will be timed for age group awards
Sponsored by the Make a Wish Foundation, the event benefits Make a Wish Alabama.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday, June 19, or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 7 to 8:00 a.m. at the Park.
Food and beverages will be provided and family activities will be available after the race.
The 4 Paws For Ability 5K Run/Walk will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, on the intramural fields at the University of South Alabama. The event also will include a 1-mile fun run/walk at 5:45 p.m.
The event is sponsored by the family of Grace Green. Grace was born with many medical difficulties including fetal alcohol syndrome (FAS). This race is to raise awareness of special needs ability dogs for FAS children.
The event benefits 4 Paws for Ability which enriches the lives of children with disabilities by training and placing quality, task trained service dogs.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday, June 19 or online until midnight Friday. Race-day registration will be held from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. at the SGA Pavilion.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race.
