The Kickoff Run for Sight 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run will be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23 near the intramural fields at the University of South Alabama. The fun run will cover three-quarters of a mile.
Organized by the University Lions Club, the event benefits the sight programs of the university.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday, August 21 or online at (http://kickoffforsight2014.eventbrite.com) until 4 a.m. on Aug. 22. Race-day registration will be held from 6:00 to 7:15 a.m. at the SGA Pavilion.
There is a Panhellinic Team challenge.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race.
