The Battle of Mobile Bay 5K will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island. This is a Corporate Cup Run.
Organized by the Port City Pacers, the event benefits the running club and Historic Fort Gaines.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday, Feb. 12, or online until 4:00 AM Friday. Race-day registration will be held from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Fort Gaines.
Food and beverages will be provided after the race.
The 25th annual Joe Cain Classic 5K, 1-Mile and MoonPie Dash will be held on Sunday, with the 5K starting at 8 a.m. from Broad and Canal streets in Mobile. This is another Corporate Cup Run.
Organized by Bay Area Runners, the event benefits challenged athletes.
Runners can register at McCoy Outdoor and Run-N-Tri in Mobile and Running Wild in Fairhope until noon Thursday also or online until midnight Thursday. Race-day registration will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 a.m. at the race site.
The post-race block party will feature door prizes, food, refreshments and festivities.
