Parking pre-race and on race day - Senior Bowl 10K

Information on the seniorbowl.com webiste says that "Free parking in the Water Street Garage, across from the Convention Center (site of the Post-Race Family Festival and Awards Ceremony) will be available on race day only. Just show your official run number as you exit."

I'm assuming that this is what most of us know as the Riverview Plaza hotel, no?

What about parking for the pre-race packet pick up and pasta dinner - is there no free parking then? Where is a good free place to park for these events?
