Are you Ben Harper the musician?
I ask because I picked up a guitar once and it was really heavy. And the strings made my fingers hurt. So I learned three chords and quit. Enough to play most Neil YOung songs, but really, as a musician, would I cut it? No. My legs aren't nice enough to coast on looks alone.
The point I make is, that there is something Ben Harper does that he makes look easy, and would leave us in his metaphoric dust.
But, I bet he, aka you, would be kinda happy that something you love and are good at provided fun and inspiration to someone else. I bet you would also cheer for this newbie and be happy for him.
Kinda like we are.
