Although the conditions for running a fast marathobn were far from perfect and many runners times were slower than usual, most people got to the the finish line in good spirits. I was gratified at how gracious runners were to the L'Arche people who were handing out medallions at the finish, many times stopping and hugging the person who gave them the award.
Another thing that made me feel good was the number out-of-town people that stoppped me or came back to tell me that it was the best organized event they had ever run.
