Wise move, especially given the warm day. Best wishes on a successful preparation for your first. It's an unforgettable experience; unlike any other race I've prepared for. Even though my first was, from many angles, a disaster (mainly not enough rest the two weeks before and VERY hot weather on race day), I can still say that, at least once in my life, I did a careful, injury-free build-up and was able to prepare for and complete the distance.
