We can walk a straight line to the bank with their sponsorship check. It would be great if we had so much sponsorship that we could pick and choose our sponsors but that is not the real world. Beer is a legal drink which used in moderation poses no threat to anyone. I don't like the way the Super Bowl and other events glamorize adult bevarages but I'm not ready to pull those ads either.
I'm also not wild about being a walking billboard. I prefer that the race shirt tells more about the event than the sponsor (regardless of whom that sponsor is) but that's my personal preference. However, I'll take what I can get, especially, if it means a 15 dollar entry fee instead of a 30 dollar one.
I also want to thank the volunteers that go and seek out the sponsors.
