Yup.
In my neighborhood you can get over an acre on the water, with a house, for less than $400 K.
Not that I have that kind of money, but compared to some places, that is pretty cheap.
And for the record, you can get 5 acres across the road from the bay, with a house and barn, but less than $100K. The way the beach is eroding, I will have beachfront property in about 30-40 years!
I live on the working man side of the road, but there is a community beach we all share.
And I would rather swim in the bay than eat fish from it.
