When I first started running back in 1983 I sent my application to the Pacers and didn't hear from them for about three months. I thought I had been rejected because I wasn't a good enough runner. I was elated when I finally heard I was accepted.
Nowadays the club is a lot more responsive and you ought to be hearing from them shortly. I wouldn't wait until I got down to Dauphin Island to sign up for the discount(you won't get it) , I personally would mail my entry with a note stating that I sent my application in 2 weeks ago. Of course I'm not guaranteeing that they'll give the discount to you but I bet they will.
