We are short of volunteers to staff the Port City Pacers booth. Duties include giving out information on the club, benefits of membership and club related activities. The information booth has a notebook about the most asked questions to help with your session. Timers are needed for race day to time the first finishers in the 10k. All positions have helpers to train you. The expo is open from noon to 9 p.m. on Friday and until 2:00 p.m. race day. If we have enough volunteers the shifts will be from 30 to 60 minutes. As a timer you need to be at the starting line 30 minutes before the gun goes off. Then you walk to the finish. After your appointed category comes through, you are free to go. It is a good job for your family and friends who want to stay busy until you cross the finish line. You can email me or call the Pacer office (473-7223) and leave your contact information.

There is a place for everyone in the race---either as a participant, volunteer or hoopla cheerleader. Thank you.
