Our fiscal running year will be coming to a close soon and a few of our board members will be stepping down. A volunteer organization needs, needs a few folks to keep the organization and races going strong. Please take the time to think about helping out this year. The board meets the first Tuesday evening of the month for a few hours and each spot on the board has it's respective duties. This year we have 3 open spots and of course you can run against Bill (see last pacerletter- last line of Presidents letter)or anyone else. The open seats are: Course Marshal; Race Director; and Volunteer Coordinator.

Course Marshal is the person that ensures that the clocks and supporting equipment gets to the race and marks the course. Usually, they're the person who gets the truck to the race site. This job can be supported by more than one person and can be delegated at times.

Race Director keeps in touch with the individual race point people/directors. They offer guidance and support for each race and help keeps the preparations on schedule. We don't want to forget the trophies or port-a-lets.

Volunter Coordinator pretty much speaks for itself. They help our races find folks to man the water stops, etc. They also assist the other non PCP race coordinators. These are races when we work the clocks/finish line but don't run the race.

Please consider these seats or others. You can call the office (473-RACE)or contact the nominating committee members. This year's group is Marykara Imwalle, Martha Harris, Sara Hodges, Bruce Coldsmith, John Vignes, Jimmy Matthews, and yours truely, Richard Leonard.

We will be glad to answer any questions.
