My husband and I were on our way visiting friends on Bromley Road and came up on the accident scene. It was truly tragic. Upon detouring and arriving at our friends house, he mentioned seeing two cyclist on the road that morning (3 hrs earlier). He had taken a left at the stop sign, they a right (onto Bromley). A half a mile later was where the two cyclist were hit. Our friend probably even passed the truck that eventually hit the cyclist. I had been thinking about running the sidewalk on Whispering Pines Road in Daphne at 5:00 in the morning (before daybreak). But now I wonder if I too, could be the victim of some distracted motorist......so sad.
And not only do I mourn the death of two cylcist, but the burden this 19 yr old kid has to carry the rest of his life....
