Kerry, I can't help you with the Trot information, but can tell you that in my first year down here, 1987, I was putting on one of the Festival Series races. A TS blew up and the police called me the night before the race and said I could not put on the race. This was about 9 o'clock on Friday night.
Of course, the storm went away, there was beautiful weather, and about 100 people showed up to the race. I was in bed snoozing away.
I know that doesn't answer your question, but it does illustrate that they might not know until Saturday Morning or late Friday. And to paraphrase Jimmy Buffet, there is a thin line between Friday night and Saturday morning.
