FOR THE NEW SEASON!!!
That's right!! As of last night's PCP Board Meeting, the Turkey 10-miler and the Holiday Half has NOBODY for a race director. A plea is going out for someone, a couple, a small group of three to five.....ANYONE!...to step up and take on this role of race director. Guidelines and instructions on how to manage this position are available for those who would like to help keep these two races a part of the PCP Race Schedule for 2005-2006. If nobody shows interest this year then these races COULD be lost forever. You will also be assigned a "liaison" (a PCP Board Member) to assist you in making sure all things are covered from getting the right permits to ordering enough port-o-lets.
The deadline to let us know that you would LOVE to help is September 15.(We would LOVE to hear from you earlier than that, though.)
Please contact someone on the board or call the office and leave a message letting us know of your interest. Please go to the "Officers" page for a list of who is on the board. The list has not been updated yet but most positions are being held by the same person who served last year.
WE NEED AT LEAST ONE PERSON PER RACE BUT IT IS NOT LIMITED TO THAT. CO-DIRECTORS ARE WELCOME......A GROUP, LIKE THE BLUE BELL BOMBERS WHO WILL HELP WITH THE HURRICANE RUN THIS YEAR AND WHO HELPED WITH THE B.O.M.B. LAST YEAR, WOULD BE OF GREAT HELP, TOO!!
TEAM SPIRIDON THE CHALLENGE HAS BEEN MADE!!! WE KNOW YOU CAN PUT ON A ONE-MILE RACE......HOW ABOUT A 10 OR 13 MILE RACE???? :)
Seriously, we need to find someone. The sooner, the better....and time's a wastin'.
