My view is that Lance would be a stud in the running world as well, however, because we (runners) are so much more competitive, he would have had a hard time dominating like he did in the tour. It seemed to me that most of the competitors in France were white. No Africans, Asians, Hispanics etc. When I was really involved in such things, I heard that a VO2 Max of 84%, Lance's number, was high, but fairly common among the Olympic calibre athletes. In biking however, I understand it is the much higher than the average Tour athlete.
I agree, this is the most inspiring chapter in a very inspiring story.
