This was my first marathon and it was a great experience. I had trained for three months or so, mostly alone. I also appreciate the volunteer support on the course, at the post race party and the pasta dinner. As a walker, I was out on the course a lot longer than most of the participants. I was disappointed, though, that there was not much food available after I finished the race. I is not my intention to criticize anyone because the race is very well organized and for a great cause, but maybe the race organizers could hold some food back for the slowpokes? After I've been on the course for 6 hours or more, food becomes of utmost importance to me, second only to getting off my FEET. Something to consider for future races...Thanks to all for making my first marathon a wonderful event and to Joey for his inspiring posts...
