OK, given all the past shenanigans regarding race trophies and other "hardware", I feel I need to say this post is serious, not sarcasm or humor nor is it intended to start a "riot" . . .
I've certainly collected more than my fair share of race trophies, awards and such over the years. Some mean something to me, some don't (typically from small races where I didn't feel like I raced well but placed simply due to a lack of the presence of faster people). I'm contemplating throwing them out but I was wondering . . . these things cost race organizers money - is there some place we can take old trophies to be "recycled"? If not, would anyone have interest in setting up a collection for trophies to be reused rather than "land-filled"?
No kidding . . .
