I just PR'ed by 13 minutes and did a 3:05:33. I surprised myself too! It was awesome!

The weather cooperated after teasing us the night before with thunder, lightning and rain. At the start, there was a very light rain and a temp of around 60 degrees. It turned out quite comfortable throughout the race. The course is challenging. The hills start early and continue on.

It is a well done marathon. If I could change one thing, it would be the t-shirt, (plain white short sleve shirt). They also really concentrate on the half because it has 5 times the participants of the whole. So course support on the second half is not slim but a lot less than the first half.

All in all, it is a worthwhile adventure but get there early (4:30-500am). Nashville was not designed to have 30,000 people converge on the downtown area all at once.

Thanks for all of the congrats!

Victor
