is to try to keep you motivated. I hope that everyone knows that winning or losing is not as important to me as having a lot of people participating. I try to stir people up to keep it interesting. Don't get me wrong I do want to do well but I'm more concerned that everyone keeps coming to the races and participating.

BTW, sharing your woes of an injury is not viewed as an "excuse" by me. Sharing your injuries might help one of the two of us somehow. It's an excuse if you tell me repeatedly how you are going to beat me only to come up short and then tell me how you are "injured".

The way I look at it, we are all racing ourselves. I'm happy if I can get that extra effort out of you to help you set that PR (or recent PR for us aging folks). Jon, I hope that you're back in full force soon. If I'm still running healthy then I'll be running my mouth to try to help you do something you're proud of.
